A LITTLE ABOUT THIS CONDO....
Polynesian Shores 220. Imagine waking up to the morning sun casting shadows on the island of Molokai and ending your day sipping wine watching the most beautiful sunsets on Earth. Or imagine magnificent rainbows stretching from mountain to sea. New floors, paint, other odds and ends make this condo your perfect choice for comfort and relaxation!
This condo is furnished with island rattan and custom art. Master suite upstairs includes a king size bed, TV, and private bath with shower. The second bedroom has a queen size bed as well as a second bath. A sofa bed is available in the living room which includes an entertainment center complete with TV and DVD/CD player. The newly remodeled fully-equipped kitchen and furnished lanai are bonuses.
You can see whales from your lanai during season and see green sea turtles as you walk the shoreline. Evenings are enchanted with the famous Maui sunset shared with fellow guests. If you prefer, you can stroll the grounds or walk to nearby shops and restaurants. A truly Aloha experience.
A LITTLE ABOUT OUR PROPERTY....
Polynesian Shores is a beautiful oceanfront resort. Sit on your private lanai enjoy the fragrant plumeria trees, the sound of the waves breaking against the shoreline, you will enjoy the breeze of the palm trees. Take in the breathtaking view of the vast ocean, seeing the island of Molokai and Lanai. You will be able to see sea turtles swimming close to the rocky shore. In the winter months the Whales as they play near the surface, you can see the mist from their blow sprouts, tails slap on the Pacific Ocean. Take pleasure in our pool and hot tub, or barbecue up a delicious mean on the barbecue's and enjoy a picnic table on our beautifully well manicured grounds that overlook the ocean. In the evening enjoy the tiki torches and the spectacular Maui Sunsets . We are family friendly resort. We also have free parking for each condo, free internet. There is a new onsite laundry room, you can download an app on your phone or you can purchase a laundry card from the card kiosk in the laundry room. The easy to follow instruction are in the laundry room, bring your own soap.

WHERE ARE WE...
Our property is direct oceanfront property with unobstructed ocean views, located between the beautiful resorts of Ka'anapali and Kapalua. Honokowai, is special little neighborhood, many people pass by and wave a "shaka" at you! You can walk to local bars, restaurants, and Farmers Market Maui, which sells fresh organic local produce. A large times market and a food truck park. There's places to rent beach gear, mopeds, all within walking distance. We are close to several beach parks and world famous golf courses, located both up and down the coast. Only a few minutes away from the Whalers Village on world famous Ka'anapali Beach, home to the Whale Museum, along with numerous shops, restaurants and art galleries.

COME SEE ALL MAUI HAS TO OFFER...
A sunset cruise around the island makes for a perfect romantic evening. If you’re curious about what goes on under the waves, snorkeling tours are a great way to view the incredible variety of life that lives under the surface of the ocean. Helicopter tours are an excellent way to take in views of the whole island, including incredible waterfalls, sea cliffs, and forests you would be hard pressed to view on foot. For those looking for a little more excitement, check out the zip lines at the Haleakala Skyline Tour. There's also Horseback riding tours. Road to Hana, which has 620 curves and 59 bridges, the road leads you through flowing waterfalls, flourishing rainforest, plunging pools and dramatic seascapes. Maui has some of the worlds most famous beaches to check out.

  The condo was in a great location with a beautiful view of the ocean. It was great to hear the ocean waves every night and the chirping of the birds each morning. There however needs more lighting at night. I didn't arrive until after 7pm and had to ask other guests to help find the condo. The furnishings themselves need a bit updating.

  This was our families first trip to Maui. We couldn’t believe that we could see whales right from our balcony, turtles right off the property. The location of the condo was great. We could walk to a great coffee shop each morning for coffee. Restaurants and shops nearby. The condo was comfortable and clean. It had everything we needed for a great vacation.   Great location without the towering buildings in some condo complexes. Although there is not a swimmable beach the sunsets can't be beat as you sit on the lawn and watch the sun go down. Convenient to many sights, well maintained and landscaped.

  I love this place. Location, view - nature to the max, with all the comforts! We got to see whales from the balcolny, walked down to the rocks: full with turtles (actually swam with them!), and the birds!. The place is fresh and clean, spacious (Family of 4) with nice little details (Maui books, a shopping tote-bag, local coffee for you to enjoy- I'm now a big fan of Hawaiian coffee). The condo shared area has BBQs and a nice swimming pool and a (very hot) hot tub. The best was the people there... family oriented, friendly, super-relaxed. A lot (if not all) returning people or owners, because they liked it so much. Location can't be better: close to everything but private. We went zip-lining, to a couple of easy hikes along the shores of north Maui, the blowhole, the Aquarium, snorkeling. It's minutes walk to a couple of nice beaches (you can actually snorkel in Honokowaii and see tons of little fish). Definitely one of those places is not just a "check, was there": We are a going back, and already looking forward to it.

Big bonus that the condo area has a nice pool area with BBQs etc. I really enjoyed this stay and would love to come back.   We love Polynesian Shores!
  The grounds are tropical and well manicured. The buildings are well maintained. The unit was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. It was great to have chairs and an umbrella provided for our beach days.
  The best part is the feel of old Hawai’i. The ocean views and the guests gathered on the lawn before sunset is just what we needed. We have only stayed in hotels before 2021. Polynesian Shores is now our go to place.

  Upon arriving, we were blown away by how beautiful the property is. It is right by the ocean with giant turtles coming right up onto the shore. Our condo was amazing, exactly as described. It was clean and very well maintained. The owner/manager was excellent, really helped me out during a minor medical issue.   Once again, my husband and I had the pleasure of staying in Unit 220 at Polynesian Shores on Maui for an extended stay, this time 11 weeks.
  The Unit was exceptionally clean and maintained, as it appears most, if not all, of the units at Polynesian Shores are by the looks of the hard working cleaning crews.
  
  The owners, Rich and Joan, were the best we have ever encountered. As an example, my husband has a sensitive back due to war injuries in Vietnam. He was not adjusting well to the king mattress and mentioned this to Bree in the office. Within a very short time, a matter of hours, Bree talked to the owners and a new mattress was on its way. Just one of many thoughtful gestures made by Polynesian Shores and Rich and Joan.
  
  I would recommend this property in a heartbeat. It's right on the ocean and very close to the basics if you choose not to rent a vehicle. If you do have vehicle, Lahaina with all of its restaurants and activities is about 10 minutes away.
  
  There are numerous restaurants in the area to fit any budget and palate. There are many places to walk in the area and several yoga studios and fitness centers about 10 minutes away. In addition to the whale watching from your lanai, there are excursions to do so, as well as zip lining, Road to Hana and Haleakala. There are way too many excursions to mention here, but there's something for everyone, if you desire, or you can sit on the lanai and enjoy the cool ocean breezes.

  We stayed in rental #220 in early November 2017. We arrived after the office was closed but that wasn't a problem. They had an easy process in place for us to get our keys. The condo was clean and stocked. We loved the fruit basket that welcomed us. The condo is exactly like the pictures and we felt like we got what we booked. There were no surprises. The view from the lanai was stunning and we enjoyed the sunset views in the evening. The resort residents were extremely nice and helpful. The best part of the condo is the location. We were close to everything and the condo beach was awesome. Our kids were able to go snorkeling with sea turtles and explore the tide pools. We definitely plan to go back!

  Polynesian Shores is one of those special places in the world where you can "get away from it all," or you can take a short drive and be in the "heart of it all!" The location in West Maui provides easy access to both quiet beaches or the night-life in Kaanapali or downtown Lahaina. We've not seen a better spot for sunset either. Every night the sun drops into the Pacific between Lanai and Molokai. Polynesian Shores truly sits on one of the most beautiful spots on the planet. A treasured location on the most beautiful island in the world - Maui.

  Our expectations were more than met at this condo. It was clean and well maintained. We were able to walk to some restaurants, coffee shops, and bars. There was a small beach on the property but preferred to drive the short distance to some larger beaches. Snorkeling off the property was great with a lot of turtles. The pool was the perfect spot to end the day as we BBQ'd and watched the fantastic sunsets. We will be back

  We've stayed many times at Polynesian Shores and love it! This trip we rented two units for our family. I do think there needs to be a better access to the beach, it was fine for our group, but anyone with mobility issues would not be able to get to this beach, it has been better in the past.

  Condo was great and perfect for our family of 5 with 2 kids on the fold out. Sunset views were amazing! We wanted to be right there for every sunset. I was worried the pool would be too small but the kids loved it especially b/c it had a true "deep end" that you don't see in pools much these days. Snorkeling there was top notch and even snorkeled with my 5 year old daughter. Tons of turtles and we snorkeled along right with them. Good local shops, restaurants and amenities and I highly recommend going to the "fish market" just a few blocks south, having them prepare you fish, and grilling out at the unit one night. The location makes this this whole condominium division a little slice of heaven!

  The resort was great and had a wonderful stay. Watching the turtles at the beach by the resort was a highlight. Would recommend this resort.
  I couple of pointers, I would recommend getting a unit that was not right beside the parking area as that did tend to be a bit noisy. The other point to be aware of is that the resort is in the rain shadow of the mountain so the resort does get more rain than Lahaina.

  My husband and I and our daughter and son-in-law rented for a week in October. Beautiful location: we saw turtles right off the property, snorkeled with them, barbqued, enjoyed sunsets, pool, swam at area beaches, and enjoyed the neighborhood. Very comfortable family environment. Warm and humid several nights due to tropical storms pulling the trade winds away, but the winds came back the last couple days. Fans really helped! Loved the chatter of birds in the morning, rain a couple of times, and lovely gardens.

  The condo complex was small and beautifully landscaped. Our condo, 220, was beautiful, very well appointed and very clean.   Great quiet location. View whales and sea turtles from lanai. Walking distance to beach (or drive up to beach lot), Farmers Market Maui (organic market with the best smoothies, soup bar and hot food bar and Mon Wed Fri outdoor farmers market with lots of samples), coffee shop, and more. The residents in the condo community are friendly and helpful (sunset happy hours are good time to meet them and find out local info), however, I don't recommend this condo community for children (the residents like their quiet and I cannot blame them. My three older teens rarely used the small pool because of the screaming children). Washer/dryer facility was great. Fully equipped kitchen that saved me money by preparing meals most days. Beach chairs and boogie board (bring your own beach towels). Fans to keep you cool. Cable tv and wifi access. Although the condo fit our needs, it could use a little updating (particularly the bathrooms, shower doors and sliding glass door to lanai are old and not easy to open/close, the sleeper couch mattress is uncomfortable). But, I would absolutely return. It was relaxing and very enjoyable.

It is a safe and welcoming place and that is the environment we try to foster. I apologize that during your stay there were some loud children that prevented your teens from enjoying the pool. A mention to our rental manager would have resulted in a talk to the children's parents if the noise was excessive.
